Abstract

The present invention relates to preamplifiers and methods of calibrating offset voltages therein. Wherein the preamplifier includes a plurality of amplifying circuits in series, and at least one of the amplifying circuits in series includes a differential pair switch circuit, a comparator and a plurality of current sources. The differential pair switch circuit has a differential input terminal and a differential output terminal. The comparator is used for comparing the voltage of the differential output terminal to output a comparison signal. The current source is separately and selectively coupled to one of the differential output terminals according to the comparison signal, so as to adjust the voltage of the differential output terminal. In addition, a method for calibrating offset voltage in a preamplifier is also disclosed herein.
