Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for bridging ONU in an EPON network. The bridging method comprises that: after receiving bridging configuration of increasing optical network units (ONU) in a cluster, an optical line terminal (OLT) acquires a set A of ONU taking part in the bridging in the cluster and a set C of ONU to be increased in the cluster after the configuration; and the OLT calculates a bridging set ADD of the cluster according to the set A and the set C, and orderly realizes the bridging of each two ONU according to the bridging set ADD. The method and the device can process the bridging configuration in batch, greatly improve processing efficiency, can accurately and quickly realize the bridging management of a plurality of ONU, and cannot generate the phenomenon of short interruption of normal service.
