[0017] The present bearing assembly and compressor are based on a theoretical study of the deformation of the crankshaft and the deformation of the compressor housing and the speed change during one revolution of the crankshaft caused by the electrical characteristics of the motor. Unlike in the above-mentioned patents, the present invention mainly solves the problem of motor friction by reducing the deformation of the crankshaft. Here, the deformations of the crankshaft, rotor and stator are synchronized such that the air gap between the rotor and stator remains constant. This is achieved by using one or more of the following: mating bearings, stiffer endshields or bearing housings, and stators secured directly to the endshields. A pair of bearings with a small distance between the two bearings is sufficient to synchronize the motion of the free end of the crankshaft, which in turn synchronizes the motion of the stator and rotor.
