Infant supporting apparatuses and methods of assembling a flexible member thereto are described comprising using an attachment fixture 121 that can be detachably secured with a first support segment of a support frame 112, 114. The infant supporting apparatus, such as a stroller or crib, comprises a support frame having a plurality of restricting grooves 124, and a flexible element, such as seat fabric 111 or canopy (132, figure 6) having a side edge portion along which is affixed the attachment fixture, said fixture possibly having an elongated shape.
