Abstract

The invention relates to a lens mounting assembly (10) for positioning a lens relative to an image sensor (14). The lens mounting assembly (10) has a lens barrel (20) for holding a first lens assembly and a lens mounting (12) having an image sensor (14) mounted thereon. The lens barrel (20) and lens mounting (12) are provided with a mating connection which allows the first lens assembly to be moved along an optical axis in order to adjust its focus on the image sensor (14).
