Abstract

The invention relates to a preparation method a cigarette additive and application thereof. The preparation method comprises the steps of: cleaning and smashing immature fruit of medicine terminalia; adding 1 part by weight of the smashed immature fruit of medicine terminalia to 2 to 3 parts by weight of clear water, decocting for 1 to 2 hours at a temperature of between 70 and 80 DEG C and then filtering to obtain a first filtrate and dregs of immature fruit of medicine terminalia; adding 1 part by weight of the dregs of immature fruit of medicine terminalia to 2 to 3 parts by weight of clear water, decocting for 1 to 2 hours at a temperature of between 70 and 80 DEG C and then filtering to obtain a second filtrate; merging the resultant first and second filtrates and then evaporating at a temperature of between 90 and 100 DEG C to obtain powdery particles, and crushing the particles to 200 to 350 meshes to obtain the cigarette additive. When a cigarette added with the cigarette additive is used by a smoker, typical symptoms such as xerostomia, abundant expectoration, throat sore, chronic pharyngitis, chronic laryngitis, chronic tonsillitis and the like can be mitigated remarkably or eliminated, besides, the cigarette added with the cigarette additive has the functions of remarkably reducing stimulation to the respiratory tract and is favorable for body health of smokers.
