The invention provides a plaster for treating carotid artery freckles and a preparation method thereof. The plaster for treating carotid artery freckles is prepared from the following components in percentage by weight: seaweed, scrophulariaceae, scorpion, chilopod, hemlock parsley, sea-tangle and borneol according to a certain weight proportion. The preparation method of the plaster comprises the following steps of: decocting the seaweed, the scorpion, the chilopod and the sea-tangle in water and filtering; then, depositing in ethanol to obtain filtrate, crushing the scrophulariaceae, the hemlock parsley and the borneol into fine powder; and mixing uniformly with the filtrate to obtain active ingredients of the plaster. The medicament provided by the invention has the efficacy of invigorating blood circulation, removing blood stasis, clearing dampness, resolving phlegm and lightening freckles.
