Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a multimedia content management method. The method comprises the following steps of: detecting the storage state of multimedia content in a content distributing network; if the detected first multimedia content is in a state of waiting for being repaired, judging whether a second multimedia content which is in an available state and as same as the first multimedia content exists in the CDN (Content Distribution Network) or not; and if the judging result is yes, repairing the first multimedia content by using the second multimedia content. The embodiment of the invention also provides a multimedia content management device. According to the embodiment of the invention, the multimedia content in the state of waiting for being repaired in the CDN can be automatically repaired.
