Abstract

The invention discloses a rechargeable battery formed by lithium ion batteries and a control method. An external-anode charge-discharge control device, lithium ion batteries and a cathode end cover are encapsulated in an outer shell to form a common rechargeable battery containing the external-anode charge-discharge control device and the lithium ion batteries. A contact point of an anode end cover in the external-anode charge-discharge control device is exposed out of one end of the outer shell to serve as the anode of the rechargeable battery, and the cathode end cover is exposed out of theother end of the outer shell to serve as the cathode of the rechargeable battery. A control circuit of the externa-anode charge-discharge control device is utilized to reduce the higher voltage output by the lithium ion batteries to 1.5V for voltage-stabilized output, and when the power of the lithium ion batteries is low, the higher voltages are reduced to the lower power prompt voltage such as 1.0V for voltage-stabilized output. The technical performances of the rechargeable battery reach or are superior to those of traditional common batteries and nickel-hydrogen charging batteries, and the rechargeable battery provided by the invention can replace the traditional common batteries and nickel-hydrogen charging batteries directly.
