Abstract

The invention provides a cell handover method, cell handover equipment and a cell handover system for a communication system supporting carrier aggregation. The cell handover method comprises that: a base station in the communication system judges whether carrier units corresponding to one or more cells to be accessed which are selected by a terminal served by the base station and requiring cell handover and belong to a destination base station belong to the same frequency band or not, encapsulates the configuration information of all of the cells to be accessed into a handover command used for initiating cell handover if the carrier units belong to the same frequency band, otherwise encapsulates the configuration information of one or more of the cells to be accessed into the handover command; and the base station transmits the handover command to the destination base station. The invention also provides the cell handover equipment for the communication system supporting the carrier aggregation, the base station comprising the equipment and the communication system comprising the base station.
