Embodiment Construction

[0043]A non-elastic strap based exercise device configured to provide selective grip positions and controllable resistance to motion is provided herein. Specifically, the present system provides a non-elastic based exercise device comprising a vertical positioning anchor, a substantially rigid yoke shell, a central non-elastic strap and at least one handle or user engagement device. According to one embodiment, the central non-elastic band comprises at least one pin engaging element, such as a ring, selectively secured to the rigid yoke shell by insertion of a pin or other securing means. Thus, the selective fixation of the non-elastic straps to the rigid yoke shell provides additional stability and positional assurance for handle positioning for desired exercises. In addition, as described below with reference to the figures, the present system may also include a plurality of removable friction modifying members configured to selectively modify the friction of the belt within...

Abstract

The invention provides a training device based on a non-elastic band. The training device includes a pair of long and thin components. The long and thin components are the non-elastic bands. The device also includes fixing devices of a first part and a second coupling part. The first part is used for installing on a structural component. The training device also includes a rigid yoke. The rigid yoke includes a yoke shell having a first end part and a second end part. The first end part of the yoke shell is connected to the second coupling part of the fixing device. The second end part of the yoke shell defines a transitional channel accommodating the long and thin components.

Description

technical field [0001] Training devices traditionally employ free weights lifted by the user or weight stacks actuated by cables pulled by the user of the device. More recently, resistance elastic members, such as straps or plates, have been incorporated into exercise equipment to provide motion resistance. Although these devices provide beneficial resistance training, they are often large and bulky, which precludes their ease of transport and / or storage. Background technique [0002] More recently, resistance training devices made almost entirely of elastic bands have gained popularity. These elastic straps generally limit the movement of the user's arms and / or legs, or between the user and the support structure. Elasticity training devices can be small, even portable, but have limited use due to their resistance properties, which depend on the length and elasticity of the elastic bands. These properties make elastic bands useful for certain length ranges, thus limiting ...
