Embodiment Construction

[0017] as in Figures 1 to 3 As can be seen in FIG. 2 , the invention describes here a specific construction of an undercarriage 1 having a compartment 2 closed by four doors denoted 3a & 3b and 4a & 4b respectively. In this example, all four doors 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b are hinged to the aircraft structure along corresponding longitudinal edges.

[0018] Doors 3a and 3b have a different drive system than doors 4a and 4b. The doors 3a and 3b remain open after the landing gear 1 has reached its deployed position, so that the struts of the landing gear can protrude from the aircraft, and once the landing gear has reached its deployed position, the doors 4a and 4b are closed again to allow a larger Close cabin 2 again to a certain degree.

[0019] It is known to move the doors 3a and 3b by engaging each of the doors 3a and 3b to a strut of the landing gear using a corresponding single link 5a, 5b. Thus, movement of the undercarriage from the stowed position to the deployed position (o...

Abstract

The invention relates to a device for controlling at least one trapdoor (4a, 4b) of the hold of aircraft landing gear, the device comprising a permanent mechanical link (20, 23, 24, 25a, 25b) between the trapdoor and the landing gear. According to the invention, the permanent mechanical link is arranged so as to transform a movement of the landing gear between a stored position and an extended position, or vice versa, into a to-and-fro movement capable of causing the trapdoor to open and then close during the movement of the landing gear between said positions.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a device for actuated closing of a door of an aircraft landing gear well. Background technique [0002] In general, the landing gear and the doors of the corresponding bays are actuated by different actuators. Sequential logic ensures the doors open before the landing gear moves and then closes the doors. In some aircraft, such as the DC3, the doors of the main landing gear are urged towards the open position by resilient members which hold the doors open when the landing gear is in the deployed position. When the undercarriage is raised, it engages a catch connected to the door by a linkage and carries it, thereby causing the door to close against the elastic member when the undercarriage finishes its travel. When the landing gear is lowered, the resilient member pushes the catch to follow the landing gear as it moves, thereby causing the door to open. At a given position of the undercarriage travel, the catch meets the abu...
