Abstract

The invention relates to a data writing method and writing device of an electrically erasable programmable read-only memory. The method is implemented in coordination with an operating device. The operating device comprises the electrically erasable programmable read-only memory with a writing prevention pin, wherein the writing prevention pin is loaded with a writing prevention voltage; when the writing prevention voltage is higher than the system voltage, the operating device is in a writing prevention mode; and when the writing prevention voltage is lower than the system voltage, the operating device is in a writing mode. The method comprises the following steps: (a) electrically connecting the writing device with the operating device; (b) boosting the system voltage to be a new system voltage so that the writing prevention voltage of the operating device is lower than the boosted system voltage and the operating device is in the writing mode; and (c) writing updating data to the operating device. The data writing method and writing device provided by the invention have the advantages that: updating data can be automatically written by a simple operation of connecting the writing device with the operating device, thus the current complicated program data updating flow is simplified.
