Abstract

The invention provides a method for editing an organic chemical structural formula. The method includes: accepting a selection on single atoms in the organic chemical structural formula through an interactive chemical layout interface; acquiring inputted character strings through a keyboard; and interpreting the character strings into element names of the atoms so as to edit the organic chemical structural formula. The invention further provides a device for constructing the organic chemical structural formula. The device comprises a focus module, an acquisition module and an interpretation module, wherein the focus module is used for accepting the selection on the single atoms in the organic chemical structural formula through the interactive chemical layout interface; the acquisition module is used for acquiring the inputted character strings through the keyboard; and the interception module is used for intercepting the character strings into the element names of the atoms so as to edit the organic chemical structural formula.
