Abstract

The method based on hybrid networks of the IP and the HFC for achieving the video conference is achieved by means of a video conference terminal, a video conference server, a gateway server and IPQAM equipment. The method based on hybrid networks of the IP and the HFC for achieving the video conference is characterized in that by means of the video conference server, the video conference terminal inquires a conference, applies to enter the conference and sends audio and video signals back to the video conference server. The video conference server transponds the data to the IPQAM by means of the gateway server through the IP internet. By means of the HFC internet, the IPQAM sends audio and video data to the video conference terminal. According to the method based on hybrid networks of the IP and the HFC for achieving the video conference, the sending of audio and video data of the video conference is transmitted by the HFC internet, and user datagram protocol (UDP) data are modulated and sent to the HEC internet by means of the IPQAM equipment.
