The production method of the functional goose meat includes steps of breeding meat geese: breeding meat geese by seal-oil-containing ration during whole growing stage. The seal-oil-containing ration is composed of common feed for meat geese in growing stage and seal oil, wherein the seal oil is 0.5%-1.5% of the common feed for meat geese in growing stage by weight, and the common feed for meat geese in growing stage contains no seal oil. According to low content and imbalance proportion of PUFA in goose meat and according to the principles and techniques in zoophysiology and animal nutrition, the seal oil is used as additive to improve fatty acid composition of the ration for meat geese, so that richness of the PUFA in goose meat is increased and the functional goose meat high in PUFA content, high in EPA content, high in DHA content and low in n-6 / n-3 PUFA proportion is produced.
