Abstract

The present invention relates to systems, methods and apparatus for providing communications using a distributed mobile architecture. An apparatus is disclosed for providing a communication path between two or more wireless telephones via one or more wireless transceivers. The apparatus includes a housing including a mobile switching center module and including a base station controller module. Furthermore, in another particular embodiment, the mobile switching center module includes a program for switching received telephone calls. In addition, the mobile switching center module includes procedures for establishing peer-to-peer connections with remote distributed mobile architecture servers.
