The blood pressure measuring apparatus comprises a pressure cuff winded at measured positions; a bump and a valve for pressurizing / de-pressurizing the measured positions through the pressure cuff; a pressure sensor measuring pressures of the measured positions pressed by the pressure cuff during a pressurizing / de-pressurizing process of the pressure cuff; and a central controller integrally formed with a sphygmomanometer body and used for control a blood pressure measuring of the apparatus. The central controller comprises a storing section, a cuff pressure detection section, a detection section, a pulse wave detecting section, a pulse wave amplitude calculation section, a pace change calculation section, a pulse wave amplitude correction section and a blood pressure determination section.
