Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring the number of people in an elevator, an elevator having the apparatus, and an elevator system including a plurality of elevators with the apparatuses. Embodiments of the present invention relate to the apparatus for measuring the number of people using the elevator in each floor, the elevator conducting operation control based on measurement results, and the elevator system for controlling a plurality of elevators arranged in parallel based on the number of users. The apparatus exactly measures the number of users in and out the elevator according to image information. The apparatus (1) includes a stereoscopic camera (2) and an image processing unit (3). The stereoscopic camera (2) is arranged in a car (101) of the elevator (100) for shooting a range from inside the car (101) across a door device (105) to an elevator hall (106) in a floor. The image processing unit (3) calculates the three-dimensional position information of the users in the car (101) according to images shot by the stereoscopic camera (2) for measuring the number of people, and number information, floor information, moving direction and time as related using status are output.
