Abstract

The invention discloses a method of estimating lightning protection of high-voltage transmission line pole / tower grounding devices. The method includes: establishing three grounding device physical structure models of a square type, a well type and a grid type, which are distribution parameter models; subjecting the physical structure models to simulation analysis by a ground resistor considering spark effect or not considering spark effect on the basis of PSCAD / EMTDC, thus obtaining lower ground impulse resistance of a grounding which considers spark effect; when the spark effect is considered, subjecting injection point overvoltage of the physical structure models to simulation analysis to obtain lightning impulse features of the three grounding devices. Technicians can select proper grounding devices according to actual conditions by the method, so that injection point lightning overvoltage of the grounding devices can be reduced, impulse grounding resistance of the grounding devices is reduced indirectly and lightning protection of poles and towers is improved.
