Problems solved by technology

However, in transmissions with coaxial input and output shafts, due to the new position of the layshaft, the transmission ratios of all gears are changed, so that for each gear the corresponding gear pairing must be re-determined and the strength criteria must be recalculate

Embodiment Construction

[0027] exist figure 1 , a dual clutch transmission with seven forward gears I to VII and one reverse gear R is schematically shown. First, the following implementation only deals with figure 1 for dual clutch transmissions, but also applies to figure 2 The dual clutch transmission shown in . figure 2 The dual clutch transmission compared to figure 1 The difference between dual clutch transmissions will be discussed later. figure 2 in and figure 1 Components and features that are the same are marked with the same reference signs.

[0028] figure 1 The dual clutch transmission has a first input shaft 10 and a second input shaft 20 . The first input shaft 10 is designed as a solid shaft, while the second input shaft 20 is a hollow shaft which is arranged coaxially with the first input shaft 10 . These input shafts 10, 20 therefore have a common axis of rotation. The first output shaft 30 and the second output shaft 40 are arranged parallel to the first input shaft 10 or...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for modifying a manual transmission for motor vehicles such that a second transmission variant is created on the basis of a first transmission variant, each of the two transmission variants comprising: a) an input shaft (10) having fixed gears (11, 12, 13); and b) a first output shaft (30) and a second output shaft (40), idler gears (32, 33, 34, 35, 42, 43, 44, 45) being arranged on the two output shafts. The idler gears (32, 33, 34, 35, 42, 43, 44, 45) on the output shafts (30, 40) mesh with associated fixed gears (11, 12, 13) on the input shaft (10), it being possible for a gear step (R, I to VII) of the manual transmission to be assigned to each idler gear (32, 33, 34, 35, 42, 43, 44, 45), at least two idler gears (33, 43) meshing with the same fixed gear (13), whereby a dependency is formed, and, proceeding from the first transmission variant for the second transmission variant, an axle spacing (DEA2) between the input shaft (10) and second output shaft (40) being variable, while an axle spacing (DEA 1) between the input shaft (10) and first output shaft (30) is kept constant.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for improving a shift transmission for a motor vehicle in order to generate a second transmission variant on the basis of a first transmission variant. Background technique [0002] Such a method is known from EP1424509A1. The transmission variant disclosed in said document accordingly has an input shaft with a fixed gear and a first and second output shaft on which a loose gear is arranged. The loose gears on these output shafts mesh with associated fixed gears on the input shafts. In this case, a gear of the shift transmission is assigned to each loose gear. The transmission variant is a shift transmission with six forward gears and one reverse gear, so that a total of seven gears are available. [0003] The transmission variants of EP1424509A1 each have a dependency. A dependency is formed in that two movable gears mesh with the same fixed gear. Although the dependence saves a fixed gear and in principle keeps ...
