Abstract

The invention provides a method of obtaining a primula forbesii and primula saxatilis interspecific hybrid by utilizing an immature embryo rescue technology. The method comprises the following steps: selecting primula primula forbesii and primula saxatilis which are originated in China to carry out hybridization; carrying out immature embryo rescue by adopting an ovary culture means; carrying out hybrid morphological identification on obtained progeny materials; selecting the progeny material which has morphological characteristics, such as stems, leaves, flowering phase and inflorescence, similar to parents at the same time, and has novel properties not owned by the parents as a interspecific crossing new variety. The method disclosed by the invention realizes the interspecific distant hybridization of the primula, and obtains a batch of new hybrid germplasms.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of breeding, and in particular relates to a method for obtaining interspecific hybrids of Primula minor and Primula petrifolius by using the immature embryo rescue technique. Background technique [0002] Primula (Primula) is the largest genus of Primulae (Primulae), with about 500 species in the world and about 300 species in my country (Chen Fenghuai and Hu Qiming, 1990). High ornamental value. Most species of primroses are perennial flowers, and a few are one or two years old. The leaves are basal and form rosette-shaped leaf clusters. There are two types of flowers, divided into long and short styles, which are beneficial to cross-pollination, and the corolla is funnel-shaped or saucer-shaped; the inflorescences are umbels of 1-3 layers, and a few species are in spikes or flower heads. The flowers are rich in color, pink, Red, yellow, orange, purple, blue, brown, etc., many species are good materials for potted p...
