Abstract

A full-solid-state modulator aims at solving the existing modulator disadvantages that the loss of modulator components is large, the pulse width cannot be adjusted, and the like. The full-solid-state modulator comprises a charging power supply, an inductive voltage superimposer a high transformation ratio pulse transformer, a control processor and an auxiliary power supply; the charging power supply, the inductive voltage superimposer and the high transformation ratio pulse transformer are sequentially connected; the inductive voltage superimpose is formed by a modulating module; the modulating module comprises four IGBT units and a pulse transformer which is provided with a single-turn primary and a single-turn secondary; the four IGBT units drive the pulse transformer in a parallel mode; the secondary pulse voltage of the pulse transformer is connected to a primary circuit of the high transformation ratio pulse transformer. The full-solid-state modulator has the advantages of being efficient, high in reliability, small in size, light in weight, low in operating cost and adjustable in pulse width due to the fact that the IGBT units replace traditional electronic vacuum pipes.
