Abstract

A system and method are described herein that provide for visualizing business objects stored in a backend system for display in a user interface. Business objects are retrieved from the backend system. Metadata from the business objects are customized and sorted into a plurality of categories. The business objects are changed into a necessary data format for transmittal and transmitted to the application displayed on the user interface. During runtime, custom actions pertaining to each business pertaining to each business object are dynamically rendered and assigned based on the backend customization of the metadata. Custom actions include the creation or updating of entries in the application.
