Abstract

A method for modeling and simulating the mechanical transient characteristics of a transmission chain of a wind turbine, the method comprising: (1) establishing a three-dimensional model of the transmission chain of a wind turbine. (2) Import the 3D model of the transmission chain into ANSYS and ADAMS, and establish the finite element model and rigid-flexible coupling model of the transmission chain. The rigid-flexible coupling model considers the flexibility of the main shaft, planetary carrier, transmission shaft and output shaft. (3) Establish the wind turbine model and calculate the transmission chain load when the power grid is instantaneously faulty, and simulate the power grid fault through the voltage drop generator. After the calculation, the torque-time history of the transmission chain is extracted. (4) Load the torque-time history of the transmission chain into the ADAMS model as the load boundary condition for the simulation of the mechanical transient characteristics of the transmission chain, and implement the torsional vibration response, stress and other mechanical transient characteristics of the transmission chain in ADAMS when the grid transient fault occurs.
