Abstract

The invention provides an AEB control apparatus and method based on communication between vehicles, that is an apparatus and method for controlling AEB for deceleration based on an own vehicle. The AEB control apparatus based on communication between the vehicles comprises: a V2V communication receiving portion for receiving operation information of a front vehicle; a braking distance calculating portion for calculating a predicted braking distance of the front vehicle based on the operation information of the front vehicle, calculating a predicted braking distance of the own vehicle based on operation information of the own vehicle, and calculating the deceleration of the own vehicle based on the predicted braking distance of the front vehicle and the predicted braking distance of the own vehicle; and an AEB controller for controlling AEB based on the deceleration of the own vehicle. The invention is capable of implementing emergency braking when a driver mishandles in a case that a collision happens so as to prevent collision accidents or reduce injury degrees, making up unfamiliar driving technique of the driver, and improving safety and convenience for the driver.
