PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold clamping device of an injection molding machine which can change mold clamping force generated in each tie bar by installing a reinforcing member outside a stationary platen.SOLUTION: A mold clamping device includes: a reinforcing member 7 which is provided at a position away from the side opposite to the mold holding surface side of a stationary platen 1; an abutting part 8 which abuts the stationary platen 1 and the reinforcing member 7 in a separated state; and connecting members (for example, screws 9) each of which connects the stationary platen 1 to the reinforcing member 7 at a position different from the abutting part 8. The balance adjustment of clamping force is performed by the connecting members. The screw 9, which is a connecting member, is installed to a screw hole opened in the stationary platen 1 through a through hole of the reinforcing member 7.
