The navigation method comprises the following steps: the positional information shared by a friend is acquired and is uploaded to a background server; the positional information of a server is related to the user ID of the social software which uploads the positional information and is stored; when a vehicle-mounted navigation client establishes a communication channel with the background server in a communication mode via a terminal communication ID, and the positional information of the background server is transmitted to the vehicle mounted navigation client via the established communication channel; the vehicle-mounted navigation client receives the positional information and navigates by taking the positional information as the destination, and thus a user can navigate via acquiring the positional information shared by a friend as the destination information under the condition that the name of a place and the driving route of the destination are not clear.
