Abstract

Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention are a data packet forwarding method and device for improving the matching efficiency when matching a data packet with a flow table. The method comprises: acquiring the attribute identifier of a data packet; searching a first flow table for a first flow table entry according to the attribute identifier, the first flow table entry comprising an action set, and the action set being specified operations corresponding to respective attribute identifiers of one data packet in a multi-level flow table; and if the first flow table entry is successfully found, then forwarding the data packet according to the action set corresponding to the first flow table entry matching the attribute identifier.
