Abstract

A method for treatment. The method includes performing an in-treatment optical scan on a region of a patient, wherein the in-treatment optical scan comprises a near infrared (NIR) energy source. The method further includes detecting a plurality of detected signals from the optical scan. The method further includes filtering out skin characteristics from the plurality of detected signals. The method further includes determining skeletal anatomy associated with the region from the plurality of signals that is filtered.
