Abstract

The invention discloses a method and device for managing background applications, which are applied to a mobile terminal and belong to the technical field of communication. The mobile terminal comprises a touch screen. The device comprises a detection unit used for detecting a first application of the mobile terminal running in the background; a receiving unit used for receiving a pressing instruction of a user to the touch screen; a calculation unit used for calculating a pressing intensity value of the pressing instruction; a judging unit used for judging whether the pressing intensity value satisfies a preset first pressure threshold; and a processing unit used for switching the first application and running a second application when the pressing intensity value satisfies the preset first pressure threshold. According to the method and device for managing the background applications provided by the invention, applications needed by users can be quickly switched to and the operation is simple, thus the humanized design of the mobile terminal is embodied and a good operating experience is brought to users.
