The equipment comprises a built-in regulating unit, a stripping tower, a shortcut nitrification unit, a denitrification unit and an equipment room. The process includes enabling the high-concentration ammonia-nitrogen wastewater to flow into the regulating unit; regulating PH (potential of hydrogen) of the high-concentration ammonia-nitrogen wastewater until the PH of the high-concentration ammonia-nitrogen wastewater reaches 10.0-11.0 and then lifting the high-concentration ammonia-nitrogen wastewater into the stripping tower; draining water from the stripping tower, and regulating PH of the water until the PH of the water reaches 6-9; enabling the water to flow into the shortcut nitrification unit; ultimately enabling the water to flow into the denitrification unit. The equipment and the process have the advantages that the equipment is simple, is convenient to operate, low in cost, good in economical efficiency and suitable for treating the high-concentration ammonia-nitrogen wastewater, stripping nitrogen removal is combined with shortcut nitrification and denitrification biological nitrogen removal, accordingly, the high-concentration ammonia-nitrogen wastewater treatment cost can be lowered, and environmental pollution due to direct discharge of high-concentration ammonia-nitrogen wastewater can be prevented.
