Abstract

The invention discloses a carpooling method and device. The carpooling method comprises: receiving route information sent by a driver client and riding information sent by a passenger client; generating carpooling information according to the route information matching the riding information best; and sending the carpooling information to the passenger client and the drive client. The route information contains a driving route, a driving terminal point, a meeting site, and corresponding meeting time; the riding information consists of a departure point, an expected destination, and time information, wherein the information is inputted by a passenger; and the carpooling information contains a contact way between a passenger and a driver, a meeting point matching the passenger, and a driving destination. According to the invention, the carpooling cost can be reduced; and accepting and support from the supervision layer can be obtained easily.
