Abstract

The invention provides a method and a system for automatic positioning of a server connection relation. The method comprises the following steps of step 1 scanning an ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) cache table of network equipment, obtaining a corresponding relation between an IP (Internet Protocol) address and an MAC (Media Access Control) address from the ARP cache table, and marking as a corresponding relation A; step 2 obtaining a corresponding relation between the MAC address and a network port, and marking as a corresponding relation B; and step 3 obtaining a corresponding relation between the IP address and the network port according to the corresponding relation A and the corresponding relation B. The invention further provides a corresponding server connection relation management and inspection system. In comparison with the prior art, the method and the system have the beneficial effects that the connection relation between the server and the network equipment is accurately recorded through an automated tool; through comparing the existing server connection information, change of the server connection relation is timely discovered to help a network administrator to timely discover the conditions, such as illegal access of equipment in the network and server offline.
