The storage management server side comprises a CIM (Common Information Model) base, an object manager and N pieces of SNMP transforming middleware, wherein each piece of SNMP transforming middleware is used for carrying out model construction on MIB (Management Information Base) object information to obtain a CIM; the CIM base is used for recording a corresponding relation between each piece of SNMP transforming middleware and the corresponding CIM and a mapping relation between each CIM and the corresponding MIB object information; the object manager is used for obtaining the CIMs and a management operation command which are included in a management operation request; each piece of SNMP transforming middleware is further used for transforming the CIMs sent by the object manager to the MIB object information and transmitting the MIB object information and the management operation command to an SNMP agent to carry out corresponding management operations.
