The invention provides a market competitiveness analysis and evaluation method for an AC and DC parallel power transmission system. The method comprises the following steps: A, a computer is used for building a transmitting-end power generation grid cost measurement model; B, the computer is used for building a power transmission line power transmission cost measurement model; C, the computer is used for building a receiving-end thermal power and alternative energy power generation cost measurement model; D, the transmitting-end power generation grid cost, the power transmission line power transmission cost and the receiving-end power generation grid cost are calculated respectively; E, the transmitting-end power generation grid cost and the power transmission line power transmission cost are overlapped to form a landing cost; and F, the landing cost and the receiving-end thermal power generation cost are compared, when the landing cost is higher than the thermal power generation cost, the landing cost and the receiving-end alternative energy power generation cost are then compared, and according to evaluation standards, an evaluation conclusion is obtained for a different condition. A different early warning signal is sent according to the comparison result. The invention provides a device for realizing the above method at the same time.
