Abstract

Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention are a cell handover method, device and system of a narrowbandmachine-type-communication (LC-MTC) system, the method comprising: acquiring measurement information of a user equipment (UE) (S101); calculating, according to the measurement information, a trigger region in which the UE performs a cell handover (S102); and when the UE in an enhanced coverage(EC) access mode suitable for the LC-MTC is detected to enter a first trigger region, and if an adjacent base station corresponding to the UE requiring the cell handover is determined not to support the EC access mode, then controlling the UE to terminate the EC access mode and switch to a non-EC access mode so as to perform the cell handover during a cell handover process (S103). The present invention can address a potential operation problem of a cell handover when a UE is in transition between an EC access mode and a non-EC access mode in an LC-MTC system.
