Abstract

The invention provides Method and device for detecting position errors of a rotor of an electronically commutated actuator drive. The method for detecting a position error of an electronically commutated actuator drive (2) between an assumed position and an actual position of the actuator drive (2), comprises the following steps: carrying out a position regulation for the position of the actuator (2); providing an indication regarding the assumed position of the actuator drive (2); adding (S3) an electric space vector value that effects a stator magnetic field component which runs parallel to a direction of an excitation magnetic field in the assumed position of the actuator drive (2); and detecting (S4) a possible movement of the actuator drive (2) as a result of the addition of the stator magnetic field component.
