A diagnostic server for cooperating with an electronic nose, an associated mobile diagnostic unit, and an associated method are provided. A diagnostic server may include a receiving unit for receiving a data set from one of a plurality of electronic noses. The data set may include sensor identifiers, sensor output values, and correlation flags for predetermined diagnoses. The determination unit may determine the probability factor of the predetermined diagnosis based on the data set, the correlation function and the distribution function.
