The electric energy meter data interface comprises a legal metering assembly and a non-legal metering assembly wherein the non-legal metering assembly comprises a display module, a communication module, a storage module and a calculation module, and the legal metering assembly comprises a clock module, a metering module and a sampling module. Total electric energy, rate electric energy and required amount are calculated according to minute incremental electric energy acquired by the data interface, and the legal metering assembly and the non-legal metering assembly are completely isolated from each other to ensure the metering independence of an electric energy meter. The invention also provides a verifying method for measuring independence under the interface mode, and the method can effectively verify whether an interface method of minute increment electrical energy is adopted and whether the precision after adopting the interface meets the requirements. To improve the robustness of electric energy meter software, it is of great value to design a meter which meets the requirement of IR46 metering independence and to test and verify the independence of the electric energy meter.
