The system comprises a character receiving device, a neural network layer, a linear layer and an emotion analysis device, wherein the character receiving device is used for receiving tested characters and converting the tested characters into character vectors; the neural network layer is used for processing the character vectors to obtain character abstract representation data; the linear layer is used for carrying out linearization on the character abstract representation data to obtain linear data; and the emotion analysis device is used for calculating emotion label data corresponding to the tested characters according to the linear data, and carrying out emotion identification on the tested characters through the emotion label data. By use of the character emotion identification system and method, the tested character still can be subjected to the emotion identification when the tested characters do not contain emotion keywords.
