Abstract

A method and apparatus for maintaining a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) minimization of drive test (MDT) configuration in a wireless communication system are provided. User equipment (UE) receives a first MBMS-MDT configuration via first system information, and receives second system information. The second system information may or may not include a second MBMS-MDT configuration. If the second system information does not include the second MBMS-MDT configuration or the second system information includes the second MBMS-MDT configuration which is equivalent to the first MBMS-MDT configuration, the UE maintains the first MBMS-MDT configuration.
