The preparation method includes: taking cyclopentane-carboxylic acid and guerbet alcohol as raw materials, acidic ionic liquid as a catalyst and methylbenzene as a solvent and subjecting the compound to reaction for 2-4 hours under condition of reflux to obtain a target product. The compound serving as basic oil for the lubricant and lubricating grease is suitable for lubrication of various friction pairs such as steel/steel and ceramic/steel and can be applied to liquid lubrication under harsh conditions (high speed, high low temperature, high vacuum and the like) of space mechanisms.
