Embodiment Construction

[0034] figure 1 Shown is a sensor body 10 fitted in a first ring 12 formed as a bearing outer ring. The sensor body 10 includes a plurality of clips 14 disposed on a first radial edge 18a of the sensor body 10 . The clip 14 is an axial protrusion of the cover part 38 of the sensor body 10 . The cover member 38 is a punched sheet metal. The clip 14 engages an annular groove 16 or groove with an undercut on the bearing outer ring 12 . A second radial edge 20 on the sensor body 10 opposite the first radial edge 18 includes a cylindrical inner surface 20a. Such as figure 1 As shown, when the bearing with the sensor body 10 mounted on the shaft 22 of the motor or generator, the cylindrical inner surface 20a on the second radial edge 20 forms an annular gap formed in the second radial edge 20 and shaft 22.

[0035] The outer ring 12 of the bearing is embedded in the motor housing 26 and fixed in the motor housing 26 by a suitable method. The inner ring 28 of the bearing fits ...

Abstract

The invention provides a tool and a method for extracting a sensor body clipped to a first ring of a bearing. The sensor body includes engaging portions provided on a first radial edge thereof, and a second radial edge opposite to the first radial edge. The sensor body is configured to be mounted such that a circular gap is formed between the second radial edge and a component configured to be in relation with the first ring. The tool includes a plurality of hooks configured to be inserted into the gap and to reach under the second radial edge.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a tool and a method for pulling a sensor unit from a bearing ring. Background technique [0002] A sensor unit for sensing the angular position of a rotating part usually comprises an induction sensor, for example known from US-B-5,309,094, which comprises an encoder for producing a change in the magnetic field An encoder element and a sensing element for judging the angular position of the rotating part based on the change in the magnetic field. The encoder element is usually a magnetic ring, which is formed by a number of magnets along the circumferential direction of the magnetic ring in a manner of magnetic pole reversal (arrangement). The sensing element is usually a transducer for sensing the strength of the magnetic field near it. When the sensor unit is used in the vicinity of the motor, magnetic interactions present within the motor can generate disturbing magnetic fields sensed by the sensor element. This can cause...
