Abstract

The invention provides communication methods and devices used for a heterogeneous network. The heterogeneous network comprises a first node, transmission points in the coverage range of the first node and devices in the first node; and each transmission point includes a unique physical identifier. The method in the first node comprises that a first group of transmission points is selected from the transmission points for the first device of the multiple devices to form a first virtual cell, and the first virtual cell serves the first device; a common identifier of the first virtual cell is assigned to the group of transmission points; and a main transmission point of the first virtual cell is selected from the group of transmission points, and used to schedule transmission of the first device in the first virtual cell. The identifier of the first virtual cell is associated with the first device, and is especially used for transmission of the first device. The invention also provides methods in the transmission point and the first device as well as corresponding devices.
