Abstract

The invention discloses application of 1-methylcyclopropene as a red pear coloring promoter, belonging to the technical field of fruit coloring. The condition that accumulation of red pear peel anthocyanin can be induced by an ethylene inhibitor 1-MCP is firstly discovered. The 1-methylcyclopropene is very good in coloring effect and deep in color and luster, and the red pear is good in appearance quality. The invention further discloses a method for promoting red pear coloring. The method comprises the steps of carrying out illuminating coloring on red pears which reach the physiological mature stage and are not colored, and before illumination, fumigating the red pears in a 1-methylcyclopropene atmosphere. By using the coloring method, the coloring time of the red pears is shortened, maintaining of the inner quality of the red pears is facilitated, ethylene release of fruits can be inhibited by 1-MCP, the storage time of the fruits is prolonged and the market value of the red pears is increased. The method is reasonable in design, simple and convenient to operate and relatively low in demands in equipment, can be operated on a large scale, and can be demonstrated, popularized and applied to commercial orchards.
