Abstract

A metal fabrication system comprising: one or more sensors, a processing circuit, and a feedback device, the sensors configured to transmit a first signal related to a first condition of an environment of the metal fabrication system; the processing circuit coupled to connected to the one or more sensors; the feedback device coupled to the processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to determine a first condition of the environment based at least in part on the first signal and compare the first condition to a first threshold. The feedback means is configured to provide a first notification when the first condition satisfies the first threshold.

[0002] Metal fabrication is a process that has been increasingly used in a variety of industries and applications. For example, metal fabrication may involve welding, cutting, forming, etc. These processes can be automated in some cases, but there are still plenty of applications for manual welding operations. In both cases, the conditions of the environment surrounding the welding system can affect the characteristics of the weld.
