The method comprises the steps that type identification information of scouring agent which is obtained by an input device is received; the type identification information of the scouring agent is sent to a server by a communication device; the correlation information of the scouring agent which is returned by the server is received by the communication device; according to the correlation information of the scouring agent and the correlation information of items to be washed, the put volume of the scouring agent is determined; according to the determined put volume of the scouring agent, scouring agent putting is controlled. According to the method, the accuracy of the put volume of the scouring agent can be improved, and then the washing quality of the items can be improved.
