Abstract

The invention relates to a signal-control crossing left turn traffic combination design optimization method. The method includes the steps of 1) acquiring the geometric condition, signal scheme and historical traffic demand of a target crossing, clarifying the service level requirements of the crossing and converting the requirements into the input parameters of a left-turn traffic time-space optimization model; 2) establishing the left-turn traffic time-space optimization model by taking the crossing average traffic delay minimum as the objective function and combining wth the constraint condition; 3) and solving the left-turn traffic time-space optimization model and obtaining the left-turn traffic time-space optimization scheme considering the left-turn waiting area and short lane combination design. The optimization scheme includes left-turn space design parameters and a signal scheme. Compared with the prior art, the method has the advantages of optimizing the left-turn waiting area/short lane capacity, lane function and signal scheme at the same time.
