Abstract

A convolutional neural network-based single word pattern character recognition method disclosed by the present invention comprises the following steps of determining a target image on which the character recognition is going to be carried out; positioning the character information in the target image, and extracting the characters; according to the extracted characters, obtaining a plurality of single word patterns of the target image; separately inputting each single word pattern in a pre-trained target convolutional neural network, propagating forwards, and obtaining a character recognition result of each single word pattern. By applying the technical scheme provided by the embodiment of the present invention, the target convolutional neural network is obtained by training a lot of single word pattern samples, and the character recognition rate of the single word patterns and the generalizable ability are improved.
